“Since acquiring CountyLine Tool in the spring of 2012, our focus has been on investing in a new facility, state-of-the-art equipment, as well as training for our employees. Our objective is to become a leader for high-precision tool refurbishment and fabrication” said Vonda Jones, president of CountyLine Tool to a crowd of approximately 100 people celebrating the event. The guests included Dave Mingus, Mayor of East Peoria, Ill., officials from the city, local and trade media, customers, as well as KOMET representatives and distributors for the area. The grand opening was commemorated with a ceremony, plant tours and a cocktail reception.
The guests enjoyed the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the value-added service offer of KOMET SERVICE and to learn how it supports the growth plans of CountyLine Tool’s new management. They also got to see the recently acquired high-tech equipment in action as technicians performed live demonstrations, and to engage in conversations directly with representatives of CountyLine Tool and KOMET.
During a heartfelt ceremony, a banner identifying the company as the first KOMET SERVICE U.S. partner was unveiled by Vonda Jones and Tom Whennen, Manager of KOMET SERVICE. The KOMET team also presented CountyLine Tool with their official plaque, and awarded certificates to eight technicians who all completed a week-long technical training on the processes and requirements of refurbishing KOMET GROUP tools. “The partnership with KOMET SERVICE is in perfect alignment with our vision of how we want to grow CountyLine Tool with superior quality products and services” added Jones.
Dave Mingus, Mayor, enthusiastically reiterated the city’s pride to be home of companies with such a focus on excellence, and its commitment to supporting CountyLine Tool along its growth path.
With the KOMET SERVICE banner, CountyLine Tool will offer its customers everything under one roof: the possibility to get KOMET tools, as well as tools of other brands refurbished and re-coated, but also to access standard and simple special carbide tools, and the expert field support that they have come to expect from KOMET. This includes pickup and delivery services, emergency services when required, complete evaluation of used tools, quotes and pricing on new special and standard tools, and the support of the KOMET brand, a global technology leader for metal cutting tools and tooling solutions for hole making.
Founded in 1984 and under a new ownership since April 2012, CountyLine Tool distinguishes itself as a cutting tool manufacturing and refurbishment specialist with a singular focus on quality. The current owners rely on a team of proven tool grinding professionals cumulating over 125 years of experience, significant investments in technologically-advanced equipment, and a 10,500ft2 climate-controlled facility to provide exacting customers superior quality tools and unwavering personalized service. Part of their commitment to quality and consistency, the company is in the process of obtaining their ISO 9001 certification.
“With the new KOMET SERVICE brand, the KOMET GROUP is putting another PLUS from our TOOLS PLUS IDEAS philosophy into practice” says Whennen, Manager of KOMET SERVICE for North America. “These partnerships will allow current KOMET customers to experience an enhanced level of service and support from KOMET, will represent a growth opportunity for our partners through an expansion of their product and service portfolio, and will enhance KOMET’s brand presence and customer proximity in North America through an extensive network of local partners. We are thrilled to welcome CountyLine Tool as our first North American partner and look forward to aggressively developing the network in 2013 and beyond. More KOMET SERVICE partners will be announced in the near future.”
