Vestas Wind Systems is cutting back employee hours at its manufacturing factories in Windsor and Brighton, CO.

Hourly employees were informed that their weekly hours would be reduced from 40 hours to 32 hours, according to the Denver Post.

The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment recently approved Vestas for a work-share program.

Officials for Vestas say in a statement the decision was made to avoid job cuts.

Two-hundred workers in Windsor lost their jobs in October.
