Siemens Recalls Workers in Iowa

Increasing Workforce to Keep up with Expanding Business

Siemens Energy is recalling workers to its Ft. Madison, IA, factory, after hundreds were laid off in September.

The company has recalled 13 workers and plans of bringing 73 more back to work.

According to the Associated Press, Tony McDowell, plant manager, says the recalls are in response to an increase in orders, some of them coming from Brazil and China. He says as the business expands, the work force will increase to meet demands.
